INFO: 2017, digital painting
This was one of the first paintings I made to accompany the compositions I was writing/orchestrating based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tales collection. This particular story was called Mother Trudy. It used a few older reference photos I had taken on my smartphone while on walks in various parts of Laois and county Kilkenny. Critique: Again I took the reference photos too literally. I could have played around with the contrast more and maybe added in some tighter foreground elements. The tree top branches in the background were too rough and should have been made finer.
