Emoticon sundial - centrepiece prop for forthcoming (months away most like) Black Crow music video. Made from an old pub table. As well as the icons it has various Latin phrases in bold type and in smaller fonts as a contrasting texture. The origami rabbits are secondary props for a few cutaway shots. 'Went to Sea', the completed large scale painting I've been working on and off over the last 18 months, based on a quotation I heard from the World at War series: "I knew a lad who went to sea who left the land behind him, I knew him well for the lad was me but now I cannot find him". Another section detail from the large format painting I've been working on over the last year and a half. One, of several, things I found very hard to get right was the scutch grass. Even using references it was tricky trying to give it a sense of separation and depth. Added to that there was also so much of it.
