Rococo costume fitting and test rig shots with @staffordface for the Katyusha music video which I'm hoping to shoot in January. The SnorriCam rig still needs some adjusting to make sure we get as little camera shake as possible when Staff is running around. Like the Cinder Biter music video it'll be a more loose/run-n-gun type shoot than the earlier stuff, that said I'm still planning on doing a walk-through myself at each location to figure out the more interesting backgrounds/lighting spots. The basic idea is he'll be playing a Don Quixote type character who raids peoples houses and gardens for food while shouting philosophy at them

The completed 'Event Horizon' realism painting I'v

The completed 'Event Horizon' realism painting I've been working on over the last three years - at roughly 310hrs clocked it took twice as long as the previous large scale piece. The central graffiti tag "Odi et amo excrucior" (I love and I hate, it hurts) comes from a quote in Bernard Cornwall's Arthurian series. Apart from a u-turn on some electrical pylons I had painted in on the left hand side background I pretty much followed the thumbnail sketch I posted previously (see last slide). Besides the symbolism mentioned in my last post close-up video there was a few other references: ash cross on girls forehead representing the weight of church led/influenced Irish state on my parents generation, the name of boat, Aaron Beck, being the founder of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (also 'Core Beliefs' CBT concept as part of the graffiti on the tree roots),'To the Hilt' scrawl being a nod to commitments as well as a few others bits and pieces around the place. #concept #conceptartist #conceptart #illustration #painting #realism #driftwood #atmosphere #cinematic #clouds #realism #landscapepainting #art #lighting #draw #drawing #robin #beach #ireland #graphitti
